If you want to write a motion for a JCR meeting, you must submit it to the JCR Secretary. The chair may also accept emergency motions if they are given before the start of the meeting.
Motions begin with "This JCR notes...", which states why you are putting forward the motion. If there is more than one point, you may also want to add "This JCR further notes...".
Then, "This JCR believes..." concludes the background to the motion, and "This JCR resolves states what the motion is calling for.
Motions must be proposed AND seconded.
BOTH the proposer and the seconder MUST attend the JCR meeting.

1) To mandate the College Affairs Officer to Investigate the practicalities of installing a monorail between St. Hilda's and Primark, and to apply to the local council for planning permission for the project.
